The pups are one month old.

"Heigh ho, heigh ho. To our first veterinary visit we go." The puppies are all loaded up, ready to meet the wonderful folks at the vet's office, Caroline Animal Hospital. Larsen in training to, true to his ancestry, achieve high escapism honors. Bear cub paws.

While in the waiting room, Carl beams with pride as he shows Anchundia an article about Mark Martin's win. Anchundia opines, "That's great, but Ryan Newman is my driver. He supports animal rescue." In unison, five puppies beg, "Mom, come on. Spring us from behind these bars. Pretty please with milk on top." Wendy prepares victim . . . we mean, puppy #1: Larsen.

"Hello in there?" Dr. Melendez examines Larsen's ears. Larsen meets the scales & weighs in as the porkiest, at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. "If I let you in my mouth, does that mean I get to bite you?" The puppy tries to play Let's Make a Deal.

While Sam tries to figure out how she can take a break to play with puppies, Luis knows he can entice play, regardless of when or where, with his cute little self. Short Luis & tall Luis. "Oh, boy, do I see lots of avenues of collusion around here," says the gleeful L. B., which Vicki quickly quashes with her watchful eye, "Wanna bet?"

Lucy, the smallest, weighs in at 5 pounds, 7 ounces. Cindy says, "Lukas, you're getting sleepy. That means close your eyes already!" "My what little feet you have," Dr. Tuttle remarks as she counts tiny toes.

"Okay, Lukas. If you aim that in my direction, we're going to have some trouble," Cindy informs him. Wendy says, "I've got one coming, one going." L. B. & Larsen plot, "Two heads are better than one." Dr. Tuttle rebukes, "Not while I have two eyes!"

While Dr. Melendez examines one puppy, Dr. Tuttle cuddles the next one. The Last Supper Larsen & L. B.
