The pups are 8 weeks & 5 days old.
"How many kisses, Alex, does it take before you will put me in your lap like Luis?" Lukas wants to know.
"I like these Big Dog treats, Lukas," says Luis.
Teamwork
"If I start chewing here at 10:00, I should be done by lunchtime," Luis calculates.
Perpetual smiles
"It was so nice of them to give us these new chew toys called puppy pads," notes Luis. "Don't you agree, Lukas?"
"Hey, Lukas," Luis says, "I smell treats. Do you think someone hid something in this couch? Let's find out. You tear up that cushion, and I'll take this one."
"Oh, darn," Lukas complains. "I can't get into trouble when I'm in Alex's arms."

One necessary prop when puppies are around is a camera.
Lukas tells Luis, "I don't have the toll to get up on the couch. I'll bite your nose instead."
"All the better to eat you with, my dear," Luis says of his razor-sharp teeth.
"Rope toys don't smell like toys with stuffing," Luis notes. "Not being able to pull it apart is no fun."
"You go that way. I'll go this way," directs Lukas. "If you find good mischief your way, you let me know. And I'll do the same."
Luis says, "Ah, this is the life," as he falls off to sleep in Alex's arms.
