"Come closer, my dear," Lukas guides. |
"I'm ready for a marathon," Luis boasts! |
"That's nothing," Lukas brags. "I'm ready for the Iditarod!" |
"Come on, Carl," Luis & Lukas sing in unison. "Get up! Help us practice our line dancing." |
"Hey, Luis, cut that that out," giggles Lukas. "That tickles!" |
"If you look closely, you can see the blue ring around my brown eye," says Luis. |
"Pick me up. Squeeze me. Give me a home," says Luis. |
"Come on, Debbie," Luis begs. "I can't quite reach the lips. Boost me up!" |
Classic cat-like stalk before the pounce |
LUIS: HA! Look how much taller than you I am, Lukas!
LUKAS: BIGGER HA! I have your paw in my mouth, and you cannot move! |
"I'm a beauty king going down the runway," Lukas dreams. "A vivid imagination makes for a healthy pup!" |
"Pick me, Debbie," solicits Luis. "I raised my paw & everything. That dumb Lukas didn't do a thing!" |
"Where can I hide this squeaky pig so Lukas can't find it?" Luis wonders. "Perhaps on a skewer in the grill." |
"Forget the squeaky toy. Your arm looks chewier!" notes Lukas. |
"I appreciate the nomination and would like to thank the shelter for getting my mom to rescue, the evaluator, the transporter, the foster home, my mother, and mostly my brothers for giving me an exercise outlet," acknowledges Luis. |
"Forget it, Luis," Debbie grins. "You're barking up the wrong tree!" |
Stand tall & POUNCE! |
Lukas says, "I'm learning how to swim on dry land. Where's the water? I feel an urge to splash." |
"In the words of Franklin Roosevelt, it's a terrible thing to look over your shoulder when you are trying to lead and find no one there. Good thing, Monica, that I enjoy being held & don't care about leading," notes Lukas. |
"It's Lukas ahead by a nose. They're coming into the home stretch. Will Luis catch up or will Lukas be the first horse in? And where are the jockeys?" |
"My brother and I," Luis comments, "are joined at the hip . . . or shoulder, as it were." |
"So fast the camera can't capture us!" Luis laughs. |
LUIS: Hurry up, Lukas. I'll stand guard.
LUKAS: It may take me a while to pulverize this toy. It's pretty big. Got a laser gun? |
"Adorable, even down to the hairs on my chinny-chin-chin." |
DEBBIE: Ha ha. Carl, you're a better victim than I am.
CARL: Not so fast, Luis. You'll mess up my mascara.
LUIS: Pick me up! Save me from the shark Lukas!
LUKAS: Perfect shot! Gotcha! |
Ears back. Tongue out. Ready for mischief. |
"Hands!" Lukas shouts with glee. "Two hands! Rings even! Field day!" |
Two dirty white-tails went sprinting through the woods one day. Where they will stop nobody knows. Heigh-ho, heigh-ho. (Fortunately, it is not hunting season.) |
"Does Follow the Leader include nipping at knees?" Luis asks his brother. |
"You're such a clownfish, Luis," Lukas laughs, "hogging the volunteers." |
"Let me whisper the plan in your ear, Luis," says the scheming Lukas. |
DEBBIE: I will NOT look in your eyes.
LUIS: Come on. Get sleepy. But it would help if you first open the treat jar & a few cabinets here & there. |
"Life is too short," lectures Luis. "We all need to eat, drink, be merry, and pounce on our brothers." |
"Boy, it sure feels like there's a mosquito on my back," Lukas says. |
"You put your left paw in," Lukas sings, "and with it, you squeak the pig." |
"Your move, Luis," Lukas challenges. |
"Don't you know the difference between left & right, Luis?" Lukas asks. "Simon said 'Go left.'" |
LUKAS: Hey, Luis, look what a big mouth I have. The better to bite you with, my brother.
LUIS: Ha! My mouth is MUCH bigger. You're more like a smallmouth bass. |
"Monica, help me get to the Jack Russells over there. They want a piece of me," Luis implores. "I just want to play with them!" |
"And to all a good night," Luis yawns. |
