Faith, the Pregnant Male Cat

She came to us on a Saturday. This was while we were rescue but before we were officially Pet Harbor Rescue. Her people didn't have her spayed because "We thought she was a boy." We could not even get her to a vet since it was Saturday. And the very next day, on Sunday, she delivered three kittens. Only nine months old at the time, Faith weighed maybe five pounds. She not only had to adjust to a new place and new people; she had to adjust to giving birth and raising babies and, still a kitten herself, somehow manage to also grow up. We thought about naming the babies (born August 15, 1999) Charity, Hope, and Love, but since two of them are boys, taking the advice of Johnny Cash in his song "A Boy Named Sue," we didn't want to stick them with that stigma! So we named them Porsche, Lincoln, and Bronco until they found their own homes and got their own individual names. Porsche found a wonderful home with a young man and his parents and is now named Whiskers. Bronco also found a wonderful home with a young couple. His new name is Trevor. Lincoln was adopted by a fabulous couple. His new name is Jack, and Jack is being spoiled rotten!! Their mother, Faith, was eventually adopted by a really nice young couple, but she waited a very long time after her kittens were in homes before she found a home.
Three beautiful kittens, 12 cute paws!
