ANAYA was named for CALIXTO "CHARLIE" ANAYA, JR., who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001.
Charlie Anaya,
age 35, Suffern, New York, was a firefighter with Engine 4 of the New York City Fire Department. A patriotic American, he flew the American flag at family camping outings. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Firefighter Anaya served his country again in Desert Storm when he re-enlisted after the outbreak of the Persian Gulf War. Charlie leaves behind his wife and three small children. His body was laid to rest on May 10, 2002. We salute Firefighter Anaya, a hero, and name this doll in his honor.
