America's Beloved Heroes

ASHLEY was named for JANICE MARIE ASHLEY, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Janice Ashley, age 25, Rockville Centre, New York, earned a degree in English in 1998 from Cornell University. Working on the 93rd floor of Tower One of the World Trade Center, Ms. Ashley was employed as a research associate for Fred Alger Management. Her trademarks her vibrant personality and senses of humor and adventure, Ms. Ashley traveled extensively and thought nothing of trying new and different things. Talented and creative also, her mother describes her personality best when she says, "If you could catch a sunbeam in the palm of your hand, you would have the essence of Janice." Ms. Ashley is survived by her parents and brother. We salute Ms. Ashley, a hero, and name this cute puppy in her honor.
