America's Beloved Heroes

ATLAS was named for GREGG ARTHUR ATLAS, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Gregg Atlas, 45, Howells, New York, a firefighter with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY), lost his life in the World Trade Center on that tragic day. Mr. Atlas was truly a hero right to the end. He also was a comic. Survived by his wife, JoAnn, the Atlases raised a hearty garden and cattle. He and his three brothers were all firefighters. We salute Mr. Atlas, a hero, and name this adorable Siberian Husky in his honor.
