Barbaro was named for PAUL V. BARBARO, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Paul Barbaro, 35, Holmdel, New Jersey, a strategic development and software engineer with eSpeed, a division of Cantor Fitzgerald, lost his life at the World Trade Center, where he worked on the 103rd floor of Tower One, on September 11, 2001. Mr. Barbaro was the type of person who always lent a helping hand. He was an intelligent man who won math awards in elementary and secondary school. A 1988 graduate of the College of Staten Island, he later went on to earn a graduate degree at Columbia University in 1991. He also was a perfectionist and softspoken. He only had a month to enjoy his new house with lots of land before the terrorist attack. First and foremost, he was known for the love he had for his family.
A memorial mass was held for Mr. Barbaro at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Staten Island, where he and his wife grew up.
Mr. Barbaro is survived by his wife, Kim; young sons, Paul and Joseph, who followed their daddy everywhere; parents; two brothers; and one sister.
We salute Mr. Barbaro, a hero, and name
this handsome cat in his honor.
