BECK was named for LAWRENCE I. BECK, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Lawrence (Larry) I. Beck, age 38, Baldwin, New York, was employed by Cantor Fitzgerald in the mailroom. Mr. Beck, a very thoughtful person, was extremely close to his family. One family member described him as "warm, lovable, comforting and dependable." Besides his family and his job, he also loved dancing and music, was a fan of the Mets, and took an annual cruise.
We salute
Mr. Beck, a hero, and name this special dog in his honor. (Source: The New York Times 1/27/02)
