America's Beloved Heroes

BRENNAN was named for PETER BRENNAN, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Peter Brennan, 30, Ronkonkoma, New York, a firefighter with Rescue 4 in Queens of the New York Fire Department, lost his life in the rescue effort at the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001. Having been a volunteer firefighter at age 16, September 11, 2001 was his first day back from a six-week vacation. Firefighter Brennan was excited to be back to work helping people. He died doing what he loved. Firefighter Brennan is survived by his wife, Erica; daughter, Anna; and Connor, who was born after his father died. We salute Mr. Brennan, a hero, and name this special kitten in his honor.
