BUD was named for WILSON "BUD" FLAGG, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Wilson "Bud" Flagg, age 54, Clifton, Virginia and Las Vegas, Nevada, lost his life, along with his wife, aboard American Airlines Flight 77 as it crashed into the Pentagon. A retired pilot for American Airlines, Admiral Flagg also was retired from service in the United States Navy as a rear admiral. A 1961 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Admiral Flagg served our country in the Vietnam War. He and his wife owned Daybreak Farm, an angus cattle farm with horses he bought after his retirement. They were also members of the Blue Ridge Hunt Club and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Admiral Flagg is survived by two sons and four grandchildren. We salute Mr. Flagg, a hero, and name this cute little kitten in his honor.
