COBY was named for STEVEN D. JACOBY, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Steven D. Jacoby, age 43, from Alexandria, Virginia, was aboard American Airlines flight 77 to attend a seminar in California when terrorists crashed the plane into the Pentagon. Mr. Jacoby, was Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Metrocall Inc. He was an loved by subordinates because he made them feel like they were not subordinate. He spoke to all and had an open office door policy. When we were doing the research for this page, we kept running across the words "kind" and "nice" used to describe Mr. Jacoby. He is survived by his wife, Kim; and children, Nicholas, Jesse, and Jenna. We salute Mr. Jacoby, a hero, and name this young dog in his honor.
