America's Beloved Heroes

COOP was named after JOHN A. COOPER, JR., who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. John Cooper of Bayonne, New Jersey, age 40, was an account manager at SunGard Trading Systems in Jersey City, New Jersey. Mr. Cooper was selling computer equipment to Sandler O'Neill at the World Trade Center, Tower 2, 104th floor when he lost his life. Mr. Cooper was an inquisitive mechanic who began tinkering with electronics at a very young age. With a bright and positive attitude, he always wore a smile on his face. His contagious laugh often lifted the spirits of those around him. Mr. Cooper was an avid athlete who excelled at both baseball and football. He was also a passionate fan of the New York Rangers. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Cathy, and two young sons, Jeffrey and Adam. We salute Mr. Cooper, a hero, and name this handsome dog in his honor.
