America's Beloved Heroes

GRACIE was named for GRACE GALANTE, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Grace Galante, 29, Staten Island, New York, was employed as a broker assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald and worked on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center’s north tower. Of Italian descent, she spoke Italian and English. Married just seven years, Ms. Galante is survived by her husband, Giovanni. Described as being devoted to family and having a strong work ethics and big heart, she was known as happy and fun-loving as well. Full of love for her nieces and nephews, because of terrorists, Ms. Galante never got the chance to have children of her own. Pet Harbor salutes Ms. Galante, a hero, and names this little girl in her honor.
