IKE was named for Michael Patrick Iken, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Michael Iken, who celebrated his 37th birthday the weekend before his death, Massapequa, New York, New York, was a bond trader for Euro Brokers Inc. and reportedly lost his life at the World Trade Center, where he worked on the 84th floor of the south tower. Mr. Iken leaves behind his wife, Monica, who made a valiant, persistent effort to find her husband's physical remains at the scene of the tragedy. We salute Mr. Iken, a hero, and name this handsome Siberian Husky in his honor.
