America's Beloved Heroes

JUPITER was named for JUPITER YAMBEM, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Born in Manipur, India, Jupiter Yambem, age 41, Beacon, New York, came to the U.S. in 1980. Mr. Yambem was employed as a banquet manager of Windows on the World, the restaurant atop the World Trade Center. He was at work on the 106th floor of the World Trade Center on that tragic day. A gentle man, he promoted environmental causes and enjoyed preserving his Indian culture and traditions in America. He also was assistant coach of his son's soccer team. A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife, Nancy, and young son, Santi. We salute Mr. Yambem, a hero, and name this wonderful dog in his honor.
