America's Beloved Heroes

KHAMI was named for KHAMLADAI K. (KHAMI) SINGH, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Khami Singh, age 25, New York, New York, was employed as assistant banquet manager at Windows on the World, where he was working when he perished in the September 11 attack on America. Windows on the World was the restaurant atop Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. Ms. Singh was working with her brother that day, causing their parents to suffer a double loss. Every day the brother & sister pair went off to work together from the family home in Queens. After work, Ms. Singh was a student at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. We salute Ms. Singh, a hero, and name this beautiful Siberian Husky in her honor.
