America's Beloved Heroes

NELSON was named for PETER ALLEN NELSON, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Peter Nelson, age 42, Huntington Station, New York, was a firefighter with rescue 4 of the Fire Department of New York. As a child, Firefighter Nelson was nicknamed "Petley" because he was charming enough to "peddle" anything to anyone. He was described as a man who always put other people first. Firefighter Nelson is survived by his wife of less than one month, Gigi; and three children, Jamie, Ryan, and Lyndsi. Lyndsi was born three hours after her father's memorial service ended. The first time Lyndsi saw her father was at his funeral We salute Firefighter Nelson, a hero, and name this handsome dog in his honor.
