America's Beloved Heroes

NEWTON was named for CHRISTOPHER C. NEWTON, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Christopher Newton, 39, Ashburn, Virginia, was the President of Work/Life Benefits. He moved his family to the East Coast in 2001 so he wouldn't have to travel so much. He was on American Airlines Flight 77, going back to California to get the family dog, when he lost his life at the Pentagon on September 11. A graduate of California Polytechnic University and the Anderson School at the University of California at Los Angeles, Chris Newton was also a Little League coach and Cub Scout leader. Mr. Newton is survived by his wife, Amy; and children, Michael and Sarah. We salute Mr. Newton, a hero, and name this young boy in his honor.
