America's Beloved Heroes

NICKY was named after JOHN D. YAMNICKY, JR., who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. John Yamnicky of Waldorf, Maryland, age 71, was employed by Veridian Engineering in Virginia. Mr. Yamnicky was aboard American Airlines flight 77 on a business trip when he lost his life to terrorists. Mr. Yamnicky enjoyed his horse farm and his family (not in that order) but especially his grandchildren. He obtained several medals in the Navy and served our country in the Korean Wars and Vietnam War. Mr. Yamnicky is survived by his wife, Janet; 4 children: Lorraine, John, Jennifer, Mark; and 8 grandchildren. We salute Mr. Yamnicky, a hero, and name this handsome dog in his honor.
