PING was named for CHING PING ("EDMOND") TUNG, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Ching Ping Tung, age 44, New York, New York, perished at the World Trade Center in the September 11 attack on America. Mr. Tung was a Chinese American. He waited 10 years for his immigration application to be approved and came to the United States with optimism, only to have his life ended here at the hands of terrorists. We salute Mr. Tung, a hero, and name this beautiful kitten in his honor.
