America's Beloved Heroes

ROSEMARY was named for ROSA MARIA "ROSEMARY" CHAPA, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Rosemary Chapa, age 63, Springfield, Virginia, was employed as a civilian in the position of senior management officer at the Pentagon, last in the Defense Intelligence Agency. She had a 31-year career with the federal government. During the last year of her life, she was the high-ranking civilian employee in her agency. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Chapa was known for, as one sympathy giver said, her "sunny smile." She attended Incarnate Word University. Surviving Mrs. Chapa are her husband, Jose; children: Grace, Julie, Elza, Roger, and John; father; siblings; and grandchildren. We salute Mrs. Chapa, a hero, and name this gorgeous kitty in her honor.
