SESI was named for ALENA SESINOVA, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Alena Sesinova,
age 57, New York, New York, formerly from Czechoslovakia, was employed in information technology at Marsh USA,, where she worked on the 96th floor of Tower One of the World Trade Center. Ms. Sesinova was very proud to be American. In order to achieve freedom, she, in fact, had to leave her family behind in Czechoslovakia without telling them where she was going. Though she could not speak English when she arrived on America's shores, she bought every newspaper - just to have them. Besides her strong love for America and the determination to get her to experience America's freedoms, the most telling description comes from the bags given to guests at her memorial service, "Momentos of Alena. In this bag are a few items that symbolize the things that Alena loved: The flag because she loved America and all its values, the shell because she loved P-town, Puerto Rico and the ocean, Red Hots because she loved hot and spicy foods, the computer because that is what enabled her to pay for everything she loved; and last, but not least, the vodka: Well…just because."
Ms. Sesinova is survived by her two kitties (So it is fitting that we chose a cat-friendly Siberian Husky to honor her memory.), her companion, Barbara; her mother, Johana; and brother, Petr.
We salute Ms. Sesinova, a hero, and name this beautiful dog in his honor. (Source: The New York Times 10/16/01 and 10/21/01)
