TIERI was named for SAL EDWARD TIERI, JR., who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Sal Tieri, age 40, Shrewsbury, New Jersey, was at a meeting on the 99th floor of One World Trade Center when the terrorists attacked. Although he was a managing director for Marsh and McLennan, he normally did not work in their World Trade Center office. Mr. Tieri, a 1993 graduate of William Paterson University, spent a great deal of time playing ball and doing children's things with his sons. He also loved the ocean, especially fishing. Mr. Tieri is survived by his wife, Maureen, and two young sons, Jonathan and Austen. We salute Mr. Tieri,
a hero, and name this petite lady in his honor. (Source: Greater Media News - Atlanticville 9/27/01, Newsday 10/31/01)
