TIKA was named for DAVID E. RETIK, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. David E. Retik, age 33, Needham, Massachusetts, was a general partner and founding member in Alta Communications and lost his life aboard American Airlines Flight 11. Notorious for joking, he laughed with his father in another car as he rushed to catch his flight on September 11. Mr. Retik is a graduate of Colgate University and earned his Master's degree from New York University. Mr. Retik is survived by his wife, Susan (who was expecting their third child at the time of David's death), and two children. We salute Mr. Retik, a hero, and name this beautiful lady in his honor.
