VICKIE was named for MARION VICTORIA (VICKIE) MANNING, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001.
Vickie Manning, age 27, Rochdale, New York, was an executive secretary at Marsh & McLennan and worked at the World Trade Center, where she lost her life. Mrs. Manning enjoyed traveling and had a knack for finding travel deals. She arranged trips for her family as well as the families of friends. Accounts portray Mrs. Manning as a sweet, joyful, and stress-free person. Ms. Manning is survived by her husband, Sean; and daughter, Lauryn, who was 2 years old at the time of her mother's tragic death. We salute Mrs. Manning, a hero, and name this sweet dog in her honor.
