ZACK was named for ZHE (ZACK) ZENG, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Zack Zeng would have been 29 years old on September 30. Though his roots are in Canton, China, he came to America at 15 years of age. Second in his high school graduating class rank, Zack attended the University of Rochester, where he earned a B.S. and M.B.A. Living in Brooklyn, New York, Zack was an employee of the ADR Division of the Bank of New York. We pick these names totally at random and had no idea until after the puppy had Mr. Zeng's name for a week that Mr. Zeng was such a hero. He was not working in the World Trade Center on 9/11 but in a nearby building. As most people ran from the devastation, he ran towards it. He had been trained as an EMT and in this capacity aided others. He was last seen on a TV spot helping another person. We salute Mr. Zeng, a hero, and name this puppy in his honor. Also, we are very grateful to his friend for sharing the news reports of Zack's heroism.
