ZANDRA was named for ZANDRA COOPER PLOGER, who paid the ultimate price in the attack on America September 11, 2001. Zandra Ploger, age 48, Annandale, Virginia, was on her honeymoon when American Airlines flight 77 struck the Pentagon on September 11. She and her husband, Robert, were married almost four months but couldn't honeymoon until September because of scheduling conflicts. She and her husband were avid tennis players and Star Trek watchers. Mrs. Ploger enjoyed entertaining, reading mysteries, and collecting porcelain figurines. She was employed as a manager at IBM. She is survived by two adult daughters, Zena and Erin. We salute Mrs. Ploger, a hero, and name this furry lady in her honor.
