Dog Adoption Application
If you want to adopt a DOG and have adopted from Pet Harbor Rescue before, you have come to the right place!

Please note: If you submit an application & don't hear from us within 48 hours, please write webmaster@petharbor.org.

Congratulations for having the desire to adopt a homeless pet. This is our application, not a contract to adopt. As you undoubtedly endured the last time and as noted on the Adoption Process page, this is the first step in the process. A successful adoption depends on finding the perfect pet for you & the perfect permanent home for the pet. So please be as complete & honest as possible. When finished, submit the form online, mail, or fax.
NOTE! (1) WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO VISIT THE HOME WHERE THE DOG WILL LIVE PRIOR TO ADOPTION
(2) WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO APPROVE OR DENY ANY ADOPTION FOR ANY REASON AND THE RIGHT TO NOT DISCLOSE THE REASON
(3) YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 TO APPLY
(4) ALL HUMAN AND CANINE MEMBERS RESIDING IN THE HOME MUST MEET THE DOG PRIOR TO ADOPTION AND
(5) ALTHOUGH WE DO NOT DEFINE A GEOGRAPHIC TERRITORY, WE GIVE PREFERENCE TO LOCAL ADOPTERS. ALSO, ALL ADOPTERS HAVE TO COME TO US (USUALLY THE FREDERICKSBURG, VA AREA) TO MEET/ADOPT THE DOG. THAT INCLUDES ALL HUMANS & CANINES RESIDING IN THE HOUSE.
