(You can read my biography.) Howdy! Well, Dad got me home just fine. Since then I've been taking lots of walks and car rides with my new big brother, Charlie. We're getting along just fine. I'm also getting to know one of the cats. I hear they have two, but I have yet to see the other one. Have heard rumors she's hiding under the covers of a bed.

We all slept very well last night. I haven't even had an accident inside yet. I did, however, jump up on the kitchen counter once to check out a loaf of bread. I am, after all, trying to gain some weight! Dad just laughed - and then reminded me that he's the boss.Mom & the Boys

I'm going to meet my new doctor on Tuesday. Also, by then Dad & Mom should have their first rolls of pictures of me developed (they each took a full roll of me in my new home today).

Thank you again for all your loving care. I am a lucky dog!

Dad & the Boys UPDATED UPDATE: It's hard to believe it's only been a week--so much has happened. First of all, as you know, I went to my new vet who checked me out thoroughly. I'm taking my ear drops just fine. Next week I go back for a Difil test to make sure that there aren't any microfilia left in my system.

Begging for Food! Chuck and I are really enjoying each other - we sleep together, play together and take walks together (We just sort of naturally "team" on our walks, just like in "Snow Dogs." Must be a husky thing we're born with.) On one of our walks 3 deer crossed the path in front of us--Chuck and I really wanted to chase after them, but Mom wouldn't let us. Yesterday we saw a fox--same thing, though. Mom would not let us chase her.

Car rides are lots of fun--I've heard rumors about taking some day trips over Memorial Day weekend--maybe to the Shenandoahs for a hike.

Love,

Armstrong Miller

NOTE FROM PET HARBOR: Treatment for heartworm disease can be quite expensive. It is not something rescues can routinely accomplish. Fortunately, Armstrong's heartworm treatment was funded by the SOS-SRF Rescue Fund.

SAD UPDATE: On June 4, 2005, multiple internal problems claimed Armstrong's life. Armstrong left the Earth to wear his silver harness and wait at the Rainbow Bridge. His family, including Pet Harbor, is very saddened by his death.
