(You can read my biography.)
Oh, boy, it has beeen a quick two years! So quick, in fact, that my family & I all thought
it had been three years already. My mom and dad found me when they were
looking for doggies online. They took one look at my picture and fell in
love right there. They tell me all the time that it was my pretty blue eyes
that grabbed their hearts and pulled them in. It's been nothing but love and
excitement for me ever since.

When I first came home, I was a little quiet. After all, it was a new place
for me, and I didn't want to scare people into thinking I was going to be a
problem. I just kinda laid around and watched the cat sit on the other
side of the room hissing at me. Boy, was she rude. We laugh now when we
think back to those days. The house was like two countries. One corner was
Onyx (the cat) Country. The rest of the house was Nikita Land. My mom and
dad were in for such a big surprise when I finally decided that quiet time
was over. I made sure they knew that the house was Nikita Land. :: giggles :: Everything had my fur on it. Even mom and dad when they went out had to
stop outside the door to brush all the fur off.
One thing I don't understand, is that every year around the same time, Mom, Dad,
and my big brother get into weird outfits.
Dad seems to like dressing up
like an animal, mom tries to be scary, and big brother. Well, I just don't
know. Last year they put stuff on me, too/ I let them do it, but I didn't
really like it. So they didn't keep it on me for very long.
Mom and Dad say that I've been nothing but a nonstop energetic, fur-flying,
bouncy bundle of love and joy since the day I finally opened up. Guess
they were lucky I came fully trained. One Nikita Cloud with all the
trimmings (and a bow, too!).
Sometimes I still get into a little trouble,
like the day I chased the cat out the door or when they leave one of those
ooooooh so yummy snacks in the garbage can for me. I don't know why they
get mad. I eat all my dinner first. And if they wouldn't put those snacks at
the bottom, there wouldn't be such a mess. Oh, well, maybe they will learn
one day. :: giggles ::
My most favorite time, though, was when we went to visit Grandma in Ohio.
They had SNOW! Can you believe it? Enough snow that when I was let out to
play, I could bound and jump and dive and roll. I can't wait until next
year. Dad says the military is moving us to New Hampshire and that winter
brings more snow than I'll know what to do with. Little does he know that I
know exactly what to do with it: roll as much of it into my fur as I can,
then go inside and shake it all out so everyone can share!

That's all for now. I think I'll just go cuddle up with my bestest girlfriend.. Onyx.
