Howdy!

Hey--Polly here.

Well, I'm really enjoying my new home. (You can read my biography.) It's been a whirlwind of a week. I was really a little skittish in my new home for a couple of days. I started out by following my new mom everywhere, but Dad was ok, too. They both fed me out of their hands!! On Monday, Dad took me to meet my new vet. She's really nice and said I'm a good, healthy dog. Snow...Playtime! On Tuesday, Dad had to go away and Mom was working late at her school's book fair. So they took me to camp, where I met a bunch of really cool people and some really neat dogs--Rupert, Buddy, and some others. They even gave me a bath!! Then on Friday, my new big brother and big sister came to visit me!! They're really cool. I can tell they're all really upset about losing their Barney boy. He really sounded cool. I've got some tough paws to fill but I really think I can do it--I can earn the "good dog collar." We had a bunch more company; I met some aunts; one from near where I used to live and one from all the way out in Arizona. I absolutely loved them. Enjoying my new home And I met my Grampa, you know, the one who uses a walker. I ran from it at first, but got used to it pretty quickly. And I met Sesame next door. She's an old lady yellow lab and really cool, but it's going to be a while before we're really buddies, but we've already taken a couple of walks together. Speaking of walks, these people are crazy--they walk me so far, but I love it!! I have to sniff everything--it's all so new.

So, it's really going well. I really love it here--I know I'm loved and I'm safe. Mom, Dad, and me I get lots of belly rubs and these great treats called "greenies" (Dad's a sucker for my cute face!). They keep talking about giving me something called a "Frosty Paw." I think I get to try that tomorrow. With all the love and attention I'm getting, I know that I'm never leaving here. I don't want to! Thanks so much for finding these people for me.

Well, I'm getting tired...it's been a busy day!

Good night!

My siblings & me UPDATED UPDATE: Hey: Polly here again! Well, it's been two months now, and I'm really doing great. I get lots of love and lots of walks. My people think I'm really funny; I'm their comic relief. Dad's taken me running a couple of times and it's really been fun-I can do two miles! I worked with my trainers a couple of times. "They say I'm a working dog; they think I have some Aussie in me. Donna (my trainer) said I need a job. So I'm learning how to "Go find Mom!" and "Go find Dad!" That's a good job to have because it means I'll never lose them. I really love to boss them around. They think they're in charge, but we know who really is. I sleep right at the foot of their bed to protect them from all the bad things that can happen at night. When I'm walking, I really go crazy when I see critters like squirrels or cats; I've even seen a rabbit in the woods behind my house. So it's going great. I'm going to stay here forever. By the way, here's a picture of me with my new brother and sister. They're really great.
