Adoption Day (You can read my biography.)

Hi, everyone! Remember me? I used to be known as Rosa, but now I am Nika Rose. I have been with my family since April of 2003. Pet Harbor rescued me from a kill shelter, and I was only with them 11 days! When I got to my new home, I was underweight, but now I have really filled out. I have some toys to play with named Luke and Lei. Tthey are the two cats that live here with me. I did have an older Collie brother, who was pretty old, named Colby. He was not feeling well, and he left one day and did not come back. I miss him.

The End of a Long DayI love my new home. I live here with my Papa, Momma, brother Joey, and sister Anya. They take good care of me. Papa, Joey, and Anya takes me for walks and play ball with me. It is so much fun. Joey is still learning how to handle me, but he is getting better. That’s him with me on the blanket. I sleep every night under the Papa’s and Momma’s bed. It’s my special place and I keep lots of things under there. They clean it out every so often, and I have to start again. I love to get into trashcans. They can be so much fun.

My Boy & Me!I am very busy all day. I follow Mamma around, everywhere she goes. I chase the cats, chew on bones, and take naps out in the backyard. It is a hard life!

My Girl & Me!My home has a big fenced in yard and lots of area to walk and run around. Joey and Anya leave lot of things around in the yard for me to play with, I think everything is mine, but I keep being told that is not true. We have a big deck, and I love to lay on it in the sun.

Snow! I love to chew on napkins, paper, and once got into some chocolate. That was bad, and it sure made me sick. I sneaked into a room that I was not supposed to be in and took it. My family makes sure that does not happen any more.

Papa says that this winter when it snows, I am going to get to pull Joey and Anya around on their sled board. I can’t wait. It’s going to be so much fun. Yard PlayI love playing in the snow.

My family has talked about getting me another Husky someday and I think that would be great. Maybe someday... I want a younger brother or sister so I can train them right! My New Sister & Me!It would be nice to have another Husky around that understands how we play and communicate.

I really love my family and feel so lucky to be here with them. They take great care of me and give me lots of snacks. I am so lucky that I found my family and thank Pet Harbor for picking them for me.

NIKA ROSE (a.k.a. Rosa)

Dear Pet Harbor:

Obeying a SitPoopedI have a new little sister! Yes, that is me underneath. Kaya and I played and played until they separated us. Mommy says Kaya is a part of our family forever. Kaya is an adopted Husky, just like me! This is a picture of us in the house. We are trying to listen and follow the “sit” command, but we were very distracted with playing with each other. Here is I am RESTING from my big day. Boy I can hardly wait till tomorrow! Isn’t my little sister cute?
