THE FINAL CHAPTER:

Several applications were submitted by people who wanted to adopt Timber. If we could have cloned her, we would have! The first application was submitted quite a while back. The application was processed, Dad met Timber, Timber was hurt, Timber got well, daughter met Timber, Timber went home!

The morning of August 29, 2001, Timber was able to have her first bath since the accident. She was NOT thrilled!

The Gordons

Then off she trotted to her new home, along with another Pet Harbor dog, Apollo. We spent the entire day getting everyone adjusted. Timber is so happy in her new home. She came in and made herself right at home. She found her spot right in front of the couch and became instant Queen of the Perch. Jennifer, Timber's new young mom, got an instant shadow. Timber's new family bought her a gigantic dog bed to make sure she was comfy, and she loves it. She sleeps in Jennifer's room on her very own bed. The first night she woke up Jennifer at 2 A.M. so she could take her out to the bathroom. Already spoiled rotten, Timber's new home provides exactly what we wanted for Timber.

Jennifer, a great student (We saw her grades!), will now have a homeworker helper. We're sure Timber will be happy to put her paw in the middle of a book and say, "Pay attention to me!" or drool on an assignment. We're equally as sure that Michael & Jennifer will love her and everything she does for many years to come.

SAD UPDATE: On July 20, 2007, Timber went to the Rainbow Bridge, where she proudly boasts her silver harness and awaits Jennifer. Sad though it is that she has left this world, what an awesome life she had after being rescued! Godspeed, Timber (June 15, 1995 - July 20, 2007)!
